Henrik Zimmer was born and raised in Los Angeles. After completing the bachelor program in music at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles he continued studies in Arts Management-Cultural Studies at the Fachhochschule Potsdam. First exposure to film production was in L.A. at Danetracks Post-production sound company (Oscar for best sound for »The Matrix«). In Germany he gained television production experience on an Afro-German cultural program filming and interviewing a variety of people including Wim Wenders, Henry Louis Gates, Jr. and Wole Soyinka. In 2004 he worked as a production assistant on »Knowledge is the Beginning: Daniel Barenboim and the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra«. This production was awarded an International Emmy for Best Arts Documentary.

           Irvandy Syafruddin is a visual designer based in Berlin. He was born and raised in Jakarta.

In 2011 he completed his communication design studies at the University for Art and Design, Burg-Giebichenstein, Halle (S.) Germany. Besides working as a graphic designer at Ruska Martin Associates, Berlin, he is always interested in exciting new projects. Typography is his favorite element of design. He loves combining typography with other images in every project, including graphics, photography and this time with film.

Sketches of Berlin is his first documentary film project.
